Pune Crime News | Liquor seller cheated of ₹52 lakh under the guise of selling FL II licence

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | Seven people cheated a liquor seller from Ghatkopar (Mumbai) of ₹52 lakh by promising to sell a FL II licence to him. The accused have returned ₹9 lakh but have not returned the remaining amount. An FIR has been registered at the Wanawadi police station. (Pune Crime News)

 

The FIR has been registered Amit Khattar and Devendra Khattar, both residents of Jalna, Chandraprakash Fulchand Maurya (32), a resident of Bhiwandi, Giriraj Mhalu Garande (40), a resident of Mumbai and three others for hatching a conspiracy and cheating the businessman. A wine shop owner from Pant Nagar in Ghatkopar has lodged a complaint.

 

The accused hatched a conspiracy and promised to sell FL2 licence of SA Shaikh and Company of Bhor to the complainant on November 18, 2022. The accused produced imposters of owners of SA Shaikh Shahzadi Shaikh, Azimuddin Shaikh and Mohsina Shaikh and made a fake MOU and took ₹52 lakh from the complainant. The accused returned ₹9 lakh to him but did not return the remaining amount. Hence, an FIR has been registered with the permission of Addl CP.

 

PSI Lohote of unit 5 of the Crime Branch is probing the case. Since the crime took place at the main gate of the race course in the limits of Wanawadi police station in Pune, the FIR has been registered in Pune.
