Customer molested after she brings her purse inside shop; Incident takes place at Van Heusen showroom on Sinhagad Road

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | A shocking incident has come to light wherein a woman customer was labelled a thief by a shop employee and the owner of a store because the customer did not keep her purse outside the showroom before entering it. (Pune Crime News)

A 25-year-old woman resident of Narhe has lodged a complaint (107/23) at the Dattawadi police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR of molestation against the owner of the Van Heusen showroom and an employee. The incident took place on Sunday at 6.15 pm.

According to the police, the complainant and her husband had gone to Van Heusen showroom located on Sinhagad Road to purchase clothes. The complainant did not keep her purse in the place for keeping purses. The owner of the shop approached the complainant and asked her why she had brought the purse inside. She accused the complainant of being a thief and asked an employee to check her purse.

The complainant and the owner had an argument. The owner pushed the complainant and took her outside the shop and insulted her. API Patil is probing the case.
