Radhika Milind Shah (Wagholikar) Baramati | Dr Radhika Shah of Baramati to guide surgeons and dieticians regarding diet of extremely obese people at US conference

BARAMATI : Radhika Milind Shah (Wagholikar) Baramati | Radhika Milind Shah (Wagholikar) of Baramati has been selected to provide training at the annual conference of American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeries to be held at Las Vegas in the United States.

Radhika Shah is going to provide training to noted surgeons and dieticians during the conference. Every year, during the annual conference of the society, some select few and researchers get this opportunity. Radhika Shah has become the first Indian woman dietician to get selected to provide training to doctors and dieticians from all over the world.

Radhika is leaving for the US on June 25 to take part in the conference. Only very selected people get an opportunity to present their views and provide training. Since Radhika has got the honour this year, it is a feather in the cap for Baramati.

Apart from this, Radhika has been invited as an experienced dietician to give a lecture at the conference of Integrated Federation of Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorder (IFSO) to be held at Naples, Italy in August. Her research paper has been selected in the top eight research papers of the world. Radhika is going to speak about her research paper in the conference.

Earlier, Radhika has taken part in top international conferences held in countries like Malaysia, Belgium, England, Philippines and India. Radhika is working with noted obesity expert in Pune Dr Shashank Shah on the subject of obesity. Many of her research papers have been lauded around the world. During the coronavirus pandemic, she has done extensive work about healthy diet in the state.

The concept of an obesity nutritionist has taken root in the last 10 years. Radhika Shah has worked in India and abroad for the last eight years. She has been given the honour of providing training at the conference considering her experience. Radhika Shah is going to tell surgeons and dieticians about how to give guidance to extremely obese people and how to plan their diet during the Las Vegas conference.
