Pune News | Farmer’s Daughter and Kho Kho Star Shines as Police Officer

Pune : Pune News | Pranali Benke, a national Kho Kho player hailing from a farmer’s family in Valti village, Ambegaon taluka, has fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a police officer. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, she dedicated her time to full-time studies and Kho Kho practice, eventually securing the position of Police Sub-Inspector.

With an impressive track record in Kho Kho, Pranali has earned 14 gold medals in 17 national tournaments. She has also served as the captain of the Maharashtra state team on three occasions, leading her team to victory and contributing significantly to the state’s gold medal achievements.

 

After completing her schooling at Narasimha Vidyalaya in Ambegaon taluka, Pranali pursued her graduation from Modern Vidyalaya in Pune. Following her graduation in 2020, she began her preparation for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination. Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic, she dedicated herself to her studies.

 

Pranali’s hard work paid off when she achieved a score of 253 in the examination, with a perfect score of 100 in the ground category. Out of the 1700 candidates selected for the interview stage in Maharashtra, Pranali secured the highest score of 32. Although she applied through the player quota, she qualified under the open category.

 

Expressing her joy, Pranali shared that her childhood dream of becoming a police officer had finally come true. As a passionate athlete, she had always admired the uniform and was grateful to her family, Kho Kho coach Sandeep Chavan, and her friends for their support throughout her journey.
