Pune Crime | Youth dies by suicide after harassment by private moneylenders in Pune district
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | Three moneylenders were pestering a youth for interest money and they were threatening to kill him. The youth, who was fed of harassment, died by suicide after he hanged himself in Indapur taluka in Pune district. The incident happened at Bharnewadi at 2 pm. (Pune Crime)
The youth has been identified as Javed Abbas Mulani (32). Javed had written a suicide note and had named three moneylenders. The police have filed an FIR against Prafulla Raghunath Devkate, a resident of Pimpli, Baramati taluka, Vijay Mote, a resident of Niravagaj, Baramati taluka and Sandeep Arun Bhosale, a resident of Nimsakharta, Indapur for abetting Javed Mulani’s suicide by harassing him under the provisions of Maharashtra Lending Act. Nawaz Abbas Mulani (40), a resident of Bharnewadi, has lodged a complaint at the Walchandnagar police station.
According to the police, Javed Mulani had borrowed money on interest from three moneylenders. The moneylenders were harassing Javed to pay interest money and were threatening to kill him. Fed up with constant harassment, Javed hanged himself to an iron angle in a tin shed on Tuesday at 2 pm on the Junction to Kalas Road. Before taking the extreme step, Javed had written a suicide note which contains the names of three moneylenders.
