Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta acts against criminal Jahed Gani Sheikh alias Langda and 8 others under MCOCA
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | To control criminals in the city, Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta is taking action against gangs under MCOCA. The police commissioner has taken action against notorious criminal Jahed Gani Sheikh alias Langda and eight others, who were spreading terror in the jurisdiction of Kondhwa police station, under MCOCA. The police chief has acted against 71 gangs so far and eight gangs in the current year.
Action has been taken under MCOCA against the head of the gang Jahed Gani Sheikh alias Langda (25), a resident of lane number 8, Hussain Colony, Garkheda area, Aurangabad, Wasim alias Lala Rashid Hazari (38), a resident of Sara apartment, Saibaba Nagar, Kondhwa Khurd, Sohail Inamul Shaikh (23), a resident of behind Bhairavnath temple, Kondhwa Khurd, Ruhan Khairuddin Tancharamban (19), a resident of Mithanagar, Kondhwa, Wahid alias Shahrukh Riaz Bagwan (26), a resident of Saibaba Nagar, Kondhwa Khurd, Ajay Rajkumar Dhage alias Gopi (22), a resident of Sailani Nagar, Nanded, Mohsin Mohammad Rafi Quereshi (30), a resident of Bhimpura, Pune, Azhar Rahimoddin Shaikh alias Banga (26), a resident of Sadatnagar, Nanded and a 17-year-old boy.
The accused have committed various crimes in the jurisdictions of Kondhwa, Wanawadi, Koregaon Park and Khadak police stations apart from various police stations in Aurangabad and Nanded districts. The gang has committed crimes like issuing threats, murder, attempted murder, robbery, dacoity, fighting, possessing dangerous weapons and 20 serious crimes are registered against them.
Senior Police Inspector of Kondhwa police station Sardar Patel prepared a proposal for action under MCOCA. It was submitted to Addl CP Namdev Chavan through DCP Namrata Patil. Since Addl CP Chavan okayed the proposal, action was taken against the accused under MCOCA.
Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta after taking charge as CP, has taken strict action against various criminal gangs. Action is being taken against the gangs under MCOCA. Under his guidance, action has been taken against 71 gangs and 8 gangs in this year.
The action was taken by a team of police officials including Senior PI Sardar Patil, PI Jagannath Jankar, API Anil Survase, policemen Jagdish Patil, Rajendra Nanavare and Rupanvar under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Namdev Chavan, DCP Namrata Patil and ACP Rajendra Galande.
