Pune Crime News: Two minor attacked by sharp weapons during dandiya in Pimpri-Chinchwad, 4 arrested

Pune: NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | While playing dandiya when the stick hit another man, a minor asked him to play dandiya properly. Enraged by the minor, a group of five people beat a minor with a steel pipe. Also, when the minor brother came to settle the dispute even he was attacked by koyta. The incident took place on Monday, October 23 at around 10:30 pm near Pimpri post office at Kharalwadi area in Pune. Four people have been arrested in this case. (Pune Crime News)
A minor victim lodged a complaint at Pimpri police station on Tuesday, October 24. Based on the complaint, the police arrested Santosh Thorat (21), Akash Thorat (22), Aditya Mangalvedekar (21), Nitin Shingade (40) all the residents of Kharalwadi in Pimpri and their accomplice Krish Shingade (21) is absconding. The police have registered a case against the accused under IPC sections 307,323, 143,147,148,149 under the Maharashtra Police Act.
According to the police, “While playing dandiya, accused Santosh Thorat’s dandiya stick hit the minor. At that time, the minor asked the accused to play dandiya properly. Angered by this, the accused Santosh brought his other companions and beat the minor brutally while Nitin Shingade hit the minor on the head with a steel pipe and injured him. When the fight was going on, Rohit Vijay Jadhav, the minor’s step brother, came to settle the fight. The accused threatened him that why you come among us, we will kill you, and the three accused hit him on the head with a koyta and also tried to kill him by beating with steel pipe.”
The Pimpri police is further conducting the investigation.
