Pune Crime News: 19-year-old man attacked with sharp weapon over past feud in Pune

Pune:  NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News |  A 19-year old man who went to offer a pylon to Chaturshringi goddess was badly beaten and was also attacked with a sharp weapon over a past feud. The incident took place on Sunday, October 22 near Chaturshringi Temple on Senapati Bapat Road. The police have registered a case against 11 people and arrested two history-sheeters. The victim, Aniket Ashish Nanavare a resident of Surti Mohalla in Khadki has filed a complaint at Chaturshringi Police Station. Accordingly case has been registered against Aniket Chandane (21), Prajyot alias Monya Umale (22), Harshad Chandane (20), Pratik Phalke (22), Yash alias Monya Gopnarayan (20), Ayush alias Bantya Landge ( 19), Papu alias Pranay Gogle (19) and Rishi Biwal alias Khod (19) along with three other accomplices all residents of Mahadev Wadi at Khadki Bazar in Pune under Section 307,323,141,143,144,147,148,149 under Maharashtra Police Act and Criminal Law Amendment Act . Yash alias Monya Gopnarayan and Rishi Biwal alias Khod have been arrested. The arrested accused are history-sheeters on Pune police records.

According to the police, “The victim Aniket Nanavare along with few children of the area went to offer pylon to Chaturshringi goddess at his maternal uncle Vijay Tayde place. On the side of the temple while returning home after offering the pylon the accused staying in the area beat Aniket badly due to an old feud. Meanwhile, Monya Ubale stabbed Aniket in the head with a sharp weapon threatening ‘I will murder you’. Aniket seriously injured in this attcak. After that, the accused swung the weapon in the air and threatened the onlookers to kill them and also created panic like situation in the area and left. As soon as we received the information about the incident, the Chaturshringi police rushed to the spot.”

Two accused were arrested after investigating the crime. The police are further conducting the investigation.
