Pune Crime News | Man held for driving autorickshaw with fake number plate

PUNE: Pune Crime News | An autorickshaw which was registered in Neera, it was being brazenly operated in Pune. The traffic police issued an e challan on the autorickshaw and it was sent to the owner of the auto. It was found that the rickshaw was being operated in Pune by using a fake number plate.
Shrikant Mohan Velekar (36), a resident of Shivaji Nagar, has been arrested. Rajendra Chandrakant Borate (50), a resident of Neera, has lodged a complaint (161/23) at the Khadki police station. The complainant operates an autorickshaw in Neera area. Shrikant Velekar started operating the auto by using a fake number plate. On May 21, at 11 am, he had come to Poultry Chowk in Khadki.
He did not have a licence and he was driving the auto without wearing a uniform. Hence, the traffic police issued him an e challan of ₹1,000. The message was received by the complainant who was surprised. When he lodged a complaint at the Khadki police station, the police arrested Shrikant Velekar. PSI Magdum is probing the case.
