Pune Crime News | Man cheats many people by promising jobs by taking former minister’s name

PUNE : Pune Crime News | An incident has come to light wherein many people were cheated under the guise of providing jobs in the Pune Municipal Corporation, by using the name of Bala Bhegade, who was a minister in 2019 in the BJP-Shiv Sena government.
The accused has been identified as Bhaskar Laxman Mohol (38), a resident of Sadashiv Peth. There is a possibility that Mohol may have cheated some other people.

A 36-year-old resident of Shivaji Nagar has lodged a complaint (145/23) at the Vishrambaug police station. The incident took place from June 2019 to November 2021.

According to the police, the complainant works as a manager in a CA firm. His friends told him in June 2019 that Bhaskar Mohol does the work of providing government jobs. When he met Bhaskar Mohol, he said he had spoken with State Labour Minister Bala Bhegade and he has agreed to do the work. He promised the complainant that he would be given a job in the PMC and it will cost ₹5 lakh per person. ₹4 lakh would have to be given in advance and remaining ₹1 lakh would have to be given after the work is over. After the money was paid, he promised that the work will be done in a fortnight. Later, the complainant gave ₹2.20 lakh.

Later, for many days, he was waiting for some news regarding the job. When the complainant called up the accused, he was told that the work will done after some time. Even when state assembly elections took place, the complainant did not get the job.

When the complainant spoke to his friends, they told him that the accused had taken ₹4 lakh each from them and had cheated them by using the name of Bala Bhegade. When the complainant demanded his money, MOhol told him that he would return in a few days. The complainant lodged a complaint with the police. PSI Patil is probing the case.
