Pune Water Supply | Emergency Maintenance Work to Temporarily Halt Water Supply in Pune
Pune : Pune Water Supply | residents in the southern part of Pune, including Hingane, Anandnagar, and Vadgaon, will experience a temporary disruption in water supply this Thursday (July 13). The Municipal Corporation has scheduled emergency electrical and structural maintenance work at Vadgaon Water Center and Rajiv Gandhi Pumping for that day, necessitating the shutdown. However, regular water supply will be restored from Monday (July 10) to Wednesday (July 12) and again from Friday (July 14) to Sunday (July 16).
Previously, the city had decided to implement a weekly water cut every Thursday due to technical reasons. However, recognizing the need for a separate water cut schedule for South Pune, the authorities have developed a plan to manage water supply interruptions. The new schedule designates specific areas for water shutdowns on different days, ensuring that regular water supply is maintained within specific time frames. The municipal corporation has assured residents that water supply will adhere to the previously announced schedule starting from Monday (July 17).
On Thursday, water supply will be halted in the following areas: Hingane, Anandnagar, Vadgaon, Dhairi, Ambegaon Plateau, Dattanagar, Dhankawadi, Katraj, Bharti University campus, Kondhwa Budruk, Ambegaon Khurd, Ambegaon Budruk, Yevlewadi, Sahkarnagar part two, Ambedkar Nagar, Tilaknagar, and the Date bus station area served by the Vadgaon water station. Additionally, the areas serviced by Rajiv Gandhi Pumping, such as Saljha Mata Tank, Santoshnagar, Duttnagar, Sunda Mata Mandir, Wonder City, Morebagh, Srihari Tank, Balaji Nagar, Pawar Hospital Complex, Kedareshwar Tank, Sukhsagarnagar One and Two, Rajesh Society, Utkarsh Society, Sundarban Society, Shelar Mala, Katraj Gavthan, Bharat Nagar, Datta Nagar, Varkhade Nagar, and Yevlewadi, will also experience a water supply interruption. On Friday (July 14), water supply will resume late in the morning with low pressure.
