Pune crime | Illegal country liquor joint raided in Bibvewadi; 1,000 litres of country liquor seized

Pune : NpNews24 Online The Social Security Cell (SSC) of Pune police crime branch raided an illegal country liquor joint in Zambre Vasti in Bibvewadi. It seized country liquor weighing 1,000 litres. A case has been filed against three persons including a woman. Anil Yashwant Gupte (28) and Vijay Sitaram Kattimani (24), both residents of Annabhau Sathe Nagar, Zambre vasti, Bibvewadi have been arrested. A case has been filed against Sharda Kisan Sonwane (60).

The SSC came to know that illegal country liquor was being sold at Annabhau Sathe Nagar in Bibvewadi area. The police team raided the place. It has seized 1,000 litre country liquor and cash totalling
Rs 40,680.

The action was taken by a team of police officials including Senior PI Rajesh Puranik, PSI Supriya Pandharkar, Baba Karpe, Rajashree Mohite, Kekan, Kamble, Chavan, Irfan Pathan under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale and DCP Sriniwas Ghadge.
