Police arrest 2 cricket bookies from Pimpri

Pimpri: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – Pimpri police has arrested two cricket bookies who used to conduct betting, in Pimpri area. The bookies were arrested by the Pimpri Police on October 28 on Sunday. The bookies used to control from the area of Vaibhav Nagar  Pimpri.

Both the suspect who has been arrested in this case are from Vaibhav Nagar and Vaishnav Devi Mandir from Pimpri named Ram Gowardhan Bajaj (44) and Govind Prabhudas Lalawani (41).

Police gave the information that the bookies were conducting betting on Pakistan versus Australia ODI match, which is happening in UAE.

The bookies were conducting from Sant Kanvar Ram Park, Vaibhav Nagar, which is a house of Bajaj. Police raided the house and arrested both of them.

They have seized 1 LED TV, 16 Mobiles and 2.16 lakh rupees from the house of Bajaj. Police has field a case on both the bookies under the relevant act and are also investigating more in this matter.
