Finally, her dream comes to reality! Mizoram’s army school open to girls

Aizawl: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- She had dreamed of becoming army officer since her childhood. She used to wear her father’s cap and wandered in the village proudly. And finally, her desire comes true as Mizoram’s army school open to girls also. She is from that first six girls who took admission in this school. Her name is Zonunpuyi Lalnunpuiya.

This is a historical step taken by the Mizoram army school which was established in 1961. The 12 year old six girls’ desire comes in reality and now they can do service of the nation by becoming Soldier, Navy officer or can be a Pilot etc.

First time girls can get admission in Lucknow’s Manoj Pandey Uttar Pradesh Sainiki School. Total 2500 girl students had applied for 9 standard for the educational year of 2018-19. Out of which 15 were selected. It was state government owned school. After that Mizoram also took such initiative for the first time.

This school comes under the Defence Ministry. Now, girls can get admission in army schools of the entire nation.

When she had returned to home after her old school last November, her mother showed a WhatsApp message. In which it was written that, girls can get admission in Sainiki School. She shocked by the news and happily jumped in the air. At that time, She also told this news to her father.

Then she started preparation for the same and studied general knowledge, practise mathematics and grammar. She gave an entrance exam at Aizawl along with 30 girls. After cracking the entrance exam, she called for an interview in March. She told the names of all governors and chief ministers and get selected in Sainiki School. So, finally, she gets admission in her favourite filed and for which she used to pray at every night.
