Pakistan again violates ceasefire in Balakote area of Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar : Pakistan has again violated the ceasefire. According to news agency ANI, Pakistan violated the ceasefire in Balakot sector of Poonch district at 10:30 pm.

Earlier also, the Pakistani army had opened fire last evening. The Pakistan Army opened fire on the Line of Control for the seventh consecutive day, targeting military outposts and residential areas in the Digwar and Malti sectors. The army also gave a befitting reply. No loss of life or property is reported in the fire.

According to the information, Pakistan opened fire at around 5.40 pm on Sunday. It started firing small weapons and then mortar. This caused panic among the people in the residential areas. People took shelter in safe places to escape. The blasts were heard several kilometers up to Poonch Nagar.

Even on the first day of the new year, Pakistan did not desist from its antics. It targeted the Army’s forward posts in Naushera sector, violating the ceasefire twice along the Line of Control, in which Ravinder Singh, the army’s deputy subedar, was martyred. On this, the army retaliated and destroyed several outposts across the border. A Pakistani soldier was killed in this action.
