MCOCA action on Nagpure gang in Mundhwa; CP Amitabh Gupta’s 112th action till date

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | MCOCA action has been taken against Yogesh Nagpure, a criminal who spread terror within the Mundhwa police station limits of Pune city, along with his 6 accomplices. CP Amitabh Gupta has taken action against 112 gangs till date and 49 in the current year. (Pune Crime)

 

Gang leader Yogesh Prakash Nagpure (35) and gang members Pramod Ajit Salunkhe (25) from Pune, Wajeed Ashfaq Syed (2) from Kharadi, Mangesh Balasaheb Tambe (28) from Kharadi, Laxman Singh alias Hanumanta Chhattar Singh Tanwar (35) from Manjari and a woman have been booked.

 

Accused Pramod Salunkhe claimed to be a journalist and earned a lot of money by selling gutkha to a businessman, who sold adulterated food grains. He threatened to defame the businessman by publishing news in the paper and also threatened to kill his family if he didn’t give money. Also, after beating up the businessman’s son, he kept his wife and son in godown and collected an extortion of Rs 5 lakhs. A case under IPC 384, 387, 341, 452, 506, 323, 120 (b), 143 has been registered in this regard at Mundhwa police station. Four accused have been arrested in the registered crime and the police are searching for the gang leader Yogesh Nagpure and the woman member of the gang. (Pune Crime)

 

Yogesh Nagpure has committed crimes with the help of his accomplices in Khadak, Mundhwa, Hadapsar, Band Garden police station limits. Serious crimes like attempt to murder, extortion, human trafficking have been registered against the accused. The proposal to include MCOCA in the case registered at Mundhwa Police Station was submitted by Senior Police Inspector of Mundhwa Police Station Ajit Lakde through Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikrant Deshmukh to Additional Commissioner of Police Namdev Chavan. This proposal has been approved by the Commissioner of Police. Assistant Commissioner of Police Bajrang Desai is investigating further.

 

The action was taken by Senior Police Inspector Ajit Lakde, Police Inspector (Crime) Pradeep Kakade, Assistant Police Inspector Sameer Karpe, Police Officers Hemant Zurunge, Nana Bhandurge, Deepak Kamble under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta, Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner of Police (East) Namdev Chavan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Circle-5 Vikrant Deshmukh, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bajrang Desai.
