Maharashtra: 7-year-old girl raped in school toilet, Accused arrested

Nagpur : A man has been arrested for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl in a school toilet in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district. The police gave this information on Sunday.

According to the police, the alleged crime took place on Saturday evening in Kondhaswali village of Katol tehsil. A villager rescued the victim girl. A police officer said that a local youth named Ankush Bhoskar (25) has been arrested in this case.

The Katol police have registered a case against the accused under various sections of the Protection of Child Sexual Exploitation Act (POCSO) besides sections 376AB and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. After arresting the accused, he was produced in a local court, from where he was remanded to three-day police custody.
