Pune : 57,000 applications for 3000 MHADA houses in Pune division



Pune : On behalf of Pune Housing and Regional Development Boards, 2908 houses in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Solapur and Kolhapur districts were vacated on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. Despite the severe Corona crises, MHADA’s houses have received a huge response from people from all over the city, with over 57,000 people applying for 3,000 houses. Now these houses will be vacated by the end of June, said Nitin Mane-Patil, Chief Officer, Pune MHADA.

As many as 2908 houses in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Solapur and Kolhapur districts were vacated under Pune Housing and Area Development Board on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. Pune MHADA has set a new record of evacuating more than 2,000 houses twice in six months despite the Corona crisis.

The deadline for final registration of 2 thousand 158 flats of MHADA in Solapur, Kolhapur, Pune, Sangli districts and 755 flats received under 20% comprehensive scheme was till May 13. However, due to the increasing prevalence of corona and at the urging of citizens and people’s representatives, another month was given to apply for the scheme. The deadline to apply for houses was June 13.

Nitin Mane-Patil said that the deadline has now expired and it will be released by the end of June to fulfill the dream of a common man.
