Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in trouble again?, Petition filed in High Court

Mumbai : NpNews24 Online   – A ‘criminal writ’ petition has been filed in the Bombay High Court against Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi. The writ petition is in the case of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s insulting comments on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Jotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule and the Marathi people.

The petition has been filed under Section 3 (1) (v) of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes (Prevention) Act, 2015 (Amended). This has increased the difficulties of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi. Opposition parties have already started a ‘Remove Governor’ campaign in the state. This petition has been filed in addition to it.

The petition said that the sentiments of the common people have been hurt by the statements of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Sudhanshu Trivedi. On behalf of petitioner Rama Aravind, Adv. Amit Katarnavre has filed this petition in Bombay High Court.

On the one hand, opposition leaders are demanding the governor’s resignation while on the other hand, the Governor has said that “I want to go back to Uttarakhand in my state.” He has also met party leaders in Delhi.
Therefore, what kind of developments will happen in the state remains to be seen.
