Gang in preparation for robbery arrested; 2 pistols, cartridges, sickles seized

Pimpri : NpNews24 Online – Pune Pimpri Crime | The police arrested a gang of nine dacoits who were preparing to strike at a wine shop in Pimpri Gaon. The action was taken in the wee hours on Saturday at Black Pearl Cafe. A total of Rs 2.60 lakh worth ammunition and arms including a pistol, a pellet gun, cartridges have been seized from the arrested accused.

Yash Kailas Bhosale (19) from Pimpri, Akash Vinod Harale (26) from Pimpri, Nihal Mohammad Shaikh (25) from Chinchwad, Ajay Lobhaji Kamble (20) from Chinchwad, Mahesh Mahadev Chandanshive (26) from Chikhali, Aniket Sachin Pawar (21) from Khadki, Avinash Rakesh Pawar (23) from Chinchwad , Shubham Deepak Gharagishve (19) from Pimpri, Balaji Ramesh Ogle (25) from Pimpri are the names of the arrested accused. Police Sub-Inspector of Pimpri Police Station Anirudh Sawarde has filed a complaint in this matter. The police have registered a case against the accused under IPC 399, 402, Arms Act, Maharashtra Police Act.

According to the police, they received a tip-off that some people were preparing to loot Regal Wine Shop in Pimpri and were waiting on the terrace of Black Pearl Cafe.

The police laid a trap and arrested the accused. A total of Rs 264 lakh valuables including two country-made pistols worth Rs 50,000, four cartridges worth Rs 4,000, one pellet gun, 7 mobiles worth Rs 90,000 and four two-wheelers worth Rs 1.20 lakh were seized. Assistant Police Inspector Domb is conducting the investigation further.
