Eknath Shinde is a temporary CM, Uddhav Thackeray will get back the party name and symbol: Asim Sarode

Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray will get back the party whip, name and the bow and arrow symbol. The next decision will be taken based on the Supreme Court ruling only. One can presume that Eknath Shinde is a temporary Chief Minister, claimed renowned lawyer Asim Sarode.

Sarode said, “The most important point is the Shiv Sena disqualification case falls under the anti-defection law of the Xth Schedule of the Constitution. Therefore, the Supreme Court’s five-member bench directed State Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar to decide on it. However, Narvekar ruled that the case does not fall under the anti-defection law. Therefore, no MLA is disqualified. His decision is completely wrong, misleading and illegal.”

Sarode said, “Rahul Narvekar made a big mistake by giving the party name and its symbol to the Eknath Shinde faction. It is a contempt of the Supreme Court (SC) ruling. It is illegal to recognize Bharat Gogawale as the party whip. It is also illegal to recognise Eknath Shinde as the group leader as per the Supreme Court ruling.”
