Youth kidnapped after not getting returns on investment in crypto currency; Forcefully prepare purchase deed and issue murder threat

Sammer Dastgir Kazi (40), a resident of Thergaon, Chinchwad has lodged a complaint (73/23) at the Deccan police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Ajinkya Pratap Kadam, Vaibhav Bharat Kadam, Shreyas Kadam, Rahul Nimbalkar, Manoj Bhagat and Abhimanyu Ghanwat and his three accomplices. The incident took place at Hotel Shubham located on Jungli Maharaj Road and Phaltan from April 26 at 10.30 pm to April 27 at 6 pm.

 

According to the police, the complainant and the accused are known to each other. On the advice of the complainant, the accused have invested money in Digital Technology Platinum World (Germany) in crypto currency. For the last three months, due to the update in the system, the monthly return was being deposited in the form of crypto coins in the account. However, since the update was going on, it was taking a lot of time to withdraw money in Indian currency. The accused thought that Sameer Kazi was responsible for this. When the complainant was at Hotel Shubham, the accused came there. They threatened him with a knife, abused him and assaulted him. He was threatened that he would be killed and his house in the village would be burnt.

 

They demanded ₹65 lakh which they had invested in a German company. They forced the complainant to sit in the Fortuner car. They removed the smart card of the car to avoid being detected. They took him to Hotel Maharaja at Phaltan and confined him throughout the night.

They later took him to an unknown farm house at Phaltan. They threatened him with a knife and told him to obey orders. They took him to the registrar’s office.

 

They forcefully prepared a purchase deed of the complainant’s flat at Laxmi Nagar in Phaltan in favour of Manoj Bhagat. They threatened him that he would be killed if he told about the incident to anyone and released him. After returning to Pune, he has lodged a complaint and PI Pathan is probing the case.
