Chief Minister Shri Shinde said that Corona has taught us the lesson of strengthening the health system. The pressure on big hospitals will have to be reduced for the treatment of minor diseases. Keeping this aim in mind and ensuring availability of treatment facilities near home to the needy, we commenced this scheme from Thane. The scheme is also implemented in Mumbai and now Aapla Dawakhana are commencing all over the state. We are running the government by following the ideology of revered Balasaheb Thackeray, who had also given priority to health. Close to 250 of our clinics are functioning in Mumbai today. Millions of patients are taking benefits from these clinics. This scheme will now provide easy and affordable health care in rural areas. Under the health department, ‘ Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana’, Civil Health Promotion Centers will be established in the 15th Finance Commission. We had announced the expansion of this service on the birth anniversary of revered Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray. Within a few months, the health department has implemented it and made these clinics available to the common people for free healthcare services. The health department deserves appreciation for this.

Mentioning about 6 thousand 200 patients have been provided assistance with a total of more than Rs. 52 crores through Chief Ministers Medical Assistance Cell, Chief Minister Shri Shinde said that lakhs of patients have benefited from the combined scheme of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. A healthy Maharashtra is our aim. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also sensitive about healthcare and treatment of common people. Therefore, the implementation of central government’s scheme and the state government’s scheme, the double engine government will bring double benefit to the people of the state. In addition to this, we are trying to strengthen health services at all places like district hospitals, primary health centers, taluka hospitals, medical colleges.  It is an effort to make a positive change in the lives of all common people. We are satisfied that the health department is making efforts to avail these good facilities to the villages and grass root level in the health sector. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that efforts are being made deliberately to provide relief to women, labourers and farmers. He also said that priority has been given to public welfare and development of all common people through the “panchaamrut” concept in the budget.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Fadnavis said that this is a very good model. This clinic will provide 30 services, medicines and medical advice free of charge. This is an initiative to take care of the health of common people. We had made provision in the budget for this model. 500 clinics will be started in this scheme. Of these, 317 clinics are starting up today. This is the hallmark of our dynamic government. In Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, the treatment limit has been increased to Rs 5 lakhs. 900 surgeries can be done now free of charge. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheme of Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana provides treatment up to five lakh rupees. Thus, around 8 crore people of the state have now started getting free treatment. The government has made this provision so that the common man should not have to bear the burden of health care services and treatments. On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister also gave information about the important decisions for women, farmers and construction of houses for the poor especially for the OBCs. He also informed about how the government is emphasizing on employment generation.

Of these, 70 percent have also been provided complete treatment.  Implementation of Sadrud Balak Yojana (Healthy Child scheme) is also successfully underway. We are working effectively to eradicate malnutrition in Melghat. We are focusing on creation of drug authority, public health scheme and bringing transparency and dynamism in the health department. The health and well-being of the people of the entire state is the priority of the Chief Minister. The Public Health Department is working tirelessly for this. It is because of this that today we are successfully implementing the concept of revered Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana. The number of clinics under this scheme will be increased soon.
