Youth dies by suicide on Valentine’s day in Aurangabad

Aurangabad: A 20-25-year-old unidentified youth died by suicide in Shivshankar Colony in Aurangabad on February 14, the police said. According to the police, the deceased was in love with a woman and took the extreme step.

The youth ended his life in the alley behind Shiv Hanuman Temple in Shivshankar Colony. While dying, he was shouting a woman’s name. Upon receiving this information, Jawaharnagar police rushed to the spot and sent his body to Valley Hospital. The police failed to identify the deceased’s body as he had burn injuries.

According to the police, the youth was wearing a maroon T-shirt and black jeans. The deceased has one tattoo each on both of his hands. Name ‘Ashwini’ is tattooed on one hand. Police Inspector Santosh Patil of Jawaharnagar police station has appealed to citizens to come forward and help the police to identify the deceased.

The police are probing an angle of love affair as the youth was shouting a woman’s name before dying.

An accidental death report was registered at Jawaharnagar police station. Police Sub-Inspector Shashikant Tayde is further investigating the case.
