Solapur police arrest burglars wanted in Andra Pradesh

Solapur: Detection Branch (DB) squad of the Vijapur Naka Police arrested two notorious burglars from Yammarpalli police station (Dist. Tirupati) vicinity and handed them over to Andhra Pradesh police.

The arrested have been identified as Nagaraju Satyanarayana Jakkamshetti (33), resident of Pedwarugadda, Penumandra, West Godavari state, Andhra Pradesh and Bhola Bhimarao Nagsai (30), resident of Sinnagiri Colony, Gajawaka district, Vizag, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Tirupati police had received information that the two were coming to Solapur. Andhra Pradesh police had sought help from Vijapur Naka police station to nab the accused.

On Monday, Tirupati Crime Batch officers, staff and officers and staff of the DB squad from Vijapur Naka police set a trap at Soreganch and caught the two with a large shuffle. The duo confessed of committing 40 crimes till date and stole a total of 11.60 kg of gold, over 5 kg silver, Rs 3.04 lakh cash.

The goons were arrested due to the joint efforts of  Commissioner of Police Ankush Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vaishali Kadukar, Assistant Commissioner of Police Preeti Tipare, Senior Police Inspector Ujasingh Patil of Vijapur Naka police station, Assistant Police Inspector Sheetal Kumar Kolhal, Assistant Faujdar Sanjay More of DB Squad, Constable Shrirang Khandekar , Rajkumar Tolanure, Shavarsiddh Narote, Prakash Nikam, Police Constable Imran Jamadar, Alam Birajdar, Balaji Jadhav, Uday Singh Saluke, Vishal Borade, Laxman Vasekar, Anil Gavasane, Atish Patil, Shivanand Bhimde and Tirupati Crime Inspector Mohan Prasad, Ravi Prakash, Nagraj Vinayak, Rajkumar, Nagraj Vargare.
