Nowadays, heart risks are not just restricted to the people above 50 or 60 years of age but every other youth is under a risk of getting prone to heart diseases.

Various doctors claim that skipping breakfast is the most common trend being adapted by the youth nowadays. In their busy life schedule, be it work life or study life, they have time for every other thing rather than breakfast.

Reasons for heart failures can be many among which on of the major reason includes lifestyle (smoking, drinking, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, obesity) secondly, the reason commonly seen now is stress, depression or genetically inherited heart diseases.

If we look closely at the percentage of Indian celebrities who died young, we can count many on the list. Abir Goswami, Inder Kumar, Reema Lagoo, and many other stars Bollywood have lost due to heart failures.

NPnews24 had a conversation with various yoga instructors:

Anupama Gilda, a Pune based Yoga teacher said, “Pranayama, early in the morning is the best solution to avoid future complications related to the heart. There are some sorts of Pranayama in which breathing can make you feel relaxed. Inhaling and exhaling slowly, it relieves us from a cough, tonsil and also mental disorders. It also helps reduce heart risks as breathing helps the proper circulation of blood flow in the body.”

Also, she informed, “Kapal Bhati is another asana which can be done for about 5-13 minutes. The asanas can be done for half an hour, and other exercises or yoga can be done for another half an hour.”

Mayur Arun Sarode, gym trainer and founder MAS fitness said, “There is a need to maintain your cardiovascular system. The process increases the amount of Red Blood cells in the body which are responsible to transfer oxygen for blood supply. Cardio activity is a process which we make people do in gyms are good for heart exercise. Kickboxing, and other activities such as push-ups, and workout are also very much helpful in blood circulation keeping our heart healthy.”

Salma Helbel, Yoga Instructor, ABS Fitness and Wellness club said, “Proper eating time, sleeping time matters. Secondly, minimizing consumption of unhealthy diet on weekends can lead to diseases. Skipping breakfast is not an option as after 8 hours of sleep, it is important to have breakfast. Protein and calcium content should be high in breakfast.”

Talking about diet, she said, “A proper Indian meal is too be consumed containing vitamins, oil is needed for the body, hence it should be not completely curbed out of the diet. At night, not a heavy diet should be taken as we sleep after having dinner, and we don’t make attempts to curb out the calories. A person should devote his/her time in yoga and exercises for about at least an hour.”

Mentioning about consuming tea or coffee she said that, “having tea or coffee twice in a day is completely fine as it doesn’t cause any harm, it is a boosting to energy but such should be consumed without sugar or with less sugar.
