Kidney Transplant scam in JJ hospital

JJ hospital, one of the largest government hospitals in Maharashtra. The scam came up of a kidney transplant in JJ hospital. Tushar Savarkar who was working as a social service superintendent at the JJ hospital and co-ordinator Sachin Salve who was working at the Raheja Hospital both were caught by the Anti-Corruption department on Monday while taking a bribe of 80 thousand for permission of kidney transplantation.

A man needs to transplant his kidney surgery at Raheja Hospital. For that, he has to take legal permission, said doctor of Raheja Hospital. Sachin Selve, who worked as a coordinator at Raheja Hospital, The file of the patient was given to Sachin for the permission of kidney transplantation. Further, Sachin sends that file report to the social service superintendent Tushar Savarkar. Tushar Savarkar is one of the coordinators of the transplant authority committee of Mumbai division. Sachin has demanded 1.5 lakh rupees for himself and for Tushar Savarkar to move the file as early as possible.

The patient was unable to pay so much money, so they compromised in 80 thousand. The person told all this matter to his friend. Instead of giving bribe his friend complained to the Anti-Corruption department about this matter. After this complaint, officials of the Anti-Corruption department on Monday raided Tushar Savarkar’s office. And Sachin was caught red-handed while taking the bribe of 80 thousand cash in this office.

According to the rules of government, the approval of the transplant committee is necessary for transplanting the organs to a private or a government hospital in the state. According to Jamaluddin’s brother, Zakir Hussain said, “My brother had been suffering from kidney disease for last three years, four months ago his kidney was disrupted, since then he kept him on regular dialysis.”

Our entire family came forward to help my brother and our sister’s kidney got match to donate. We were sent to Raheja Hospital. Sachin Salve took the bribe of ten thousand rupees to introduce with Tushar Savarkar in JJ Hospital. Since Jamaluddin’s condition got critical, he needs urgent transplantation. We hope that the officials will help us to expose the scam, said Zakir Hussain.
