Woman tortured by in-laws; committed suicide

PUNE: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- In the Wanawadi area of Pune, a 34-year-old woman after getting frustrated by her in-laws committed suicide.

The deceased’s brother has filed a complaint in the Wanawadi police station against her mother-in-law and sister-in-law in regard to the case. The name of her brother is Jayashree Bhai Gorakhnath Bhagwan Amnaave(40).

According to the police, Jayashree fell in love with Vinod Kakade and the duo got married in the year 2000. Jayashree’s in-laws including her mother and sister were unhappy with the marriage. Both used to torture Jayashree out of no reason most of the times. She faced a lot of humiliation by her in-laws.

After just a few days of their marriage, the woman’s husband was detected and found that he was a patient of HIV aids. Therefore, Jayashree opted for test-tube baby and gave birth to a child.

Jayashree’s in-laws used to pass comments on her blaming her for all the mis happenings which took place in her and Vinod’s life. They also used beat her.

After getting frustrated with the torture and violence, she finally decided to end her life and committed suicide and the deceased’s brother has lodged a complaint in regard to this case.

Wanawadi police are probing into the case further for any more clues to the case.

It seems that no matter how much country talks about literate people, awareness and growing literacy rates, the country still lacks the education and proper literacy among people. Women really need to come out strong and fight back with depression overcoming it!
