Pune : Tourist Spots In Pune | The state government has recently approved a substantial allocation of funds totaling 775 crores for the phased development of various tourist destinations within the district. The funds will be utilized for the enhancement of forts, tourism sites, and pilgrimage spots. Additionally, a separate fund of fifty crores has been earmarked specifically for the development of the Savitribai Phule National Memorial in Bhide Wada.

 

Among the initiatives, 50 crores has been allocated for Shiva Srishti in Ambegaon, Haveli taluka. Furthermore, a museum highlighting the biography of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be established at Shivneri Fort, with a budget of 45 crores dedicated to fort conservation across the district. The regional tourism scheme has granted 3.75 crores for the preservation and conservation of Kalyan Darwaza and the surrounding area of Sinhagad Fort.

 

To ensure the preservation of Shiva-era forts, a significant amount of 300 crores has been set aside. Moreover, the development plan for Tulapur in Haveli taluka and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Shirur taluka has initiated the tender process, with a budget of 269 crores 24 lakhs allocated for the construction of a memorial at Vadhu.

 

Furthermore, a proposal of 43 crores 23 lakhs has been submitted to the summit committee, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, for the approval of the Chief Secretary. The proposal aims to develop the Ashtavinayak pilgrimage sites. An ambitious plan of 200 crores is also underway for the development of the Martyr Shivram Hari Rajguru Memorial, including the preservation and conservation of the ancient temple in the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga area.

 

Additionally, the government has announced a 50 crore fund for the construction of the Savitribai Phule National Memorial at Bhidewada. The development plan for Sri Kshetra Jejuri includes a budget of 109 crores 57 lakhs for the preservation and conservation of the main temple, while 25 crores has been allotted for the development of the Samadhi place of Sant Jaganade Maharaj in Sudumbare, Maval taluka.

 

Lastly, to promote forest tourism, the district administration plans to initiate a leopard safari at Shivneri in Junnar taluka, which is known for its significant leopard population
