Three shops gutted in Wednesday morning blaze in Pimpri

Pimpri: Three commercial establishments were gutted in a fire in the Jhulelal Ghat area of Milind Nagar in Pimpri on Wednesday.

According to the fire officer of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), residents detected the fire and called for the fire brigade. They also rescued other people present in the area. Three fire engines from the main fire station at Sant Tukaram Nagar of the Municipal Corporation reached the spot. And around 14 firefighters were involved in the operation.

The fire was extinguished at around 5 in the morning. Meanwhile, flames and plumes of smoke blackened the walls of houses and buildings. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. But the wood, scrap materials and groceries in the shops were destroyed in the fire.
