Three accident took place on Pune-Mumbai Expressway

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – On Sunday when an SUV met with an accident after the tyre busted near the connecting road of Panvel to Mumbai Pune Expressway while they were heading to Chembur. The vehicle was driven by Yogesh Nariani accompanied by his mother, wife, son and niece. All of them sustained minor injuries and was admitted to the MGM Hospital at Kamothe by the highway safety patrol team.

The on-duty traffic police inspector explained that when they reached the spot, the SUV was upside down and badly mangled lying beside the highway on the Mumbai carriageway.

The driver claimed that he lost control over the wheels and the car yanked off the highway and after a somersault crashed into the railing and landed upside down.

The driver and his wife seated next to him were saved due to safety airbags in the SUV.

A similar incident occurred around 5:30 in the morning near Kamshet on the Mumbai lane where a truck and car crashed each other. 2 people present in the car died on the spot while 3 badly injured.

Another accident took place near Kamshet tunnel where the driver lost control and crashed into a divider injuring the driver. None of the victim’s name is disclosed.
