Chordiya, Founder President of Suryadatta Education Foundation awarded with ‘State Level Maha Gaurav Award 2022’ by the Digital Media Editor Journalist Association at the auspicious hands of Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra Deepak Kesarkar & Shambhuraj Desai for his recomendable work in Education & Social field.
Recently, the Digital Media Editor Journalist Association has organized a state level meeting at Bhilar in Satara district, which is inaugurated by Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher & Technical Education. Along with Shambhuraj Desai & Deepak Kesarkar, MP Shriniwas Patil, Executive President of State Planning Board, MLA Jaykumar Gore, Collector Ruchesh Jayvanshi, CEO Dnyaneshwar Khilari, SP Sameer Shaikh, President of Digital Media Journalists Association Raja Mane and many others were present on the occasion.
Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya said, “We are seeing that digital journalism is playing an important role in the changing times, while working in the education and social sectors. Suryadatta’s recognition by the association of important editors in journalism is heartening. Our efforts to provide all-round development of students, employment-oriented education will continue. This award is dedicated to all the elements related to the organization.”
Suryadatta college also offers BA JM, MA JM and Msc in Media and Communications studies courses affiliated to SPPU and has conducted BA JM & MA JM Event Management programs for the last 20 years and 1000 of students are working in renowned media houses, production houses, radio Tv productions etc, he added.
Chandrakant Patil said, “The media is effectively doing the job of showing the right direction to the society and the rulers. Henceforth the media should work in such a way. We will continue to try to provide maximum facilities to journalists including health, education and housing for children.”
Shambhuraj Desai said, “The organization should prepare a regulation at the local level. Based on that, action can be taken to issue identity cards to them as officials. The demand of journalists to memorialize Gopal Ganesh Agarkar of Tembhu district Karad will be followed up with the rural development department.”
Deepak Kesarkar said, “In today’s age of technology, the concept of digital journalism is expanding rapidly. It is necessary to use the power of digital journalism for constructive change keeping in mind the reach and speed of media. The role of the media is important for safeguarding democratic values.”
MP Srinivas Patil said, “Journalism has a long history. Today’s journalism has changed and is becoming more modern. Journalists should play the role of giving justice to the common man by breaking the truth.” Raja Mane in his introduction explained the role of the organization and explained the importance of digital media.
