This is a clear failure of Food and civil administration department to keep check and tap on the quality of food being served in festive seasons.
In this regard, the Guardian minister Girish Bapat and also minister  Food and civil administration have directed the food and Drug Administration department has asked to collect the samples and such samples to sent for testing in the laboratory to probe. This is not the first time such an incident has taken place as earlier in this month, in Mumbai’s based Ambarnath area a dead lizard was found in WadaPav.
Later, the Ambernath Municipal Council based on the report had demolished the illegal structure where a Vada-pav shop was operating near the railway station. The civic body took action when it received a complaint from the Ambernath Citizens’ Forum, alleging poor hygiene and violation of municipal laws by the stall.
This kind of incident has imposed a question mark on inspection of the city’s food and health department. Such incidents prevailing might put the lives of many at risk and hence the food department must carry out a strict inspection in this regard.
The citizens claimed that the administration and ministers act only when such incidents are viral on social media and do not take additional safety and precautionary measures earlier while issuing licenses, along with following up checks at such areas.
