Pune : NpNews24 Online – Punit Balan Group | Four promising sportspersons have found berths in the Indian squad for the Asian Games 2023, thanks to the financial support given by Punit Balan Group.

Tennis pros Ankita Raina and Rutuja Bhosale and taekwondo players Shivansh Tyagi and Shivam Shetty will be the members of the Indian team for the prestigious games to be held between September 23 and October 8.

Country’s top tennis player Raina has bagged the bronze medal in 2018, while Bhosale has won five ITTF titles. Both tennis stars have been associated with Punit Balan Group for a year now.

Elaborating on the expenses that a tennis player has to bear, Raina said she has to travel for over 25 tourneys every year. Raina said, “I need to travel a lot to attend tournaments, which take place almost every week around the year. The Punit Balan Group sponsors my trips and also bears expenses for a coach, who accompanies me at these matches to improve my performance.”

“My financial needs are taken care of by Shri Punit Balan sir and the Punit Balan Group. The more I play, the better I perform. Thus, I can improve my rank,” Bhosale said.

Shetty and Tyagi have also been performing well at the international level. They are among the beneficiaries of the support provided by the Punit Balan Group.

Tyagi is the bronze medal winner in the International Taekwondo Championship 2023. He said, “Last year, I took part in three world events. I won medals in each one of them. In fact, I secured my career-best ranking of 33 in one event. I am grateful to Punit sir for my good performance and have also qualified for the Asian Games.”

Shetty said, “My advanced training could be possible only due to the support of Punit Balan sir and his colleagues. This has helped me to clinch the championship. I am able to maintain weight control and strength with the right supplements and diet.”

“The gym-based strength and conditioning training has enhanced my performance. Physiotherapy has made it possible to recover from injuries. I have retained the top rank in the country due to the Punit Balan Group’s help,” he added.
