Pune-Solapur Highway Accident | Strange accident on Pune-Solapur highway: 12 injured in mishap
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune-Solapur Highway Accident | On Sunday, a strange accident took place at tyre phata in Uruli Kanchan area on the Pune-Solapur highway. Twelve people were injured in a collision of a tempo, two cars and two-wheelers. The injured have been identified as Sachin Kumar, Ashish Kumar, Raj Kishor,Rohit Babanrao Gaikwad, Sonali Rohit Gaikwad, Chhabi, Ramdas Aherkar, Vinod Hosamani, Vivek Hosamani, Shankar Narle and Bablu Kuwar. The injured are being treated at a private hospital in the Uruli Kanchan area.
According to the police, a tempo was going towards Solapur on the Pune-Solapur highway. The temp was carrying iron plates used in construction.
The tempo driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a car after going over the divider. The tempo also rammed into another car. A two-wheeler rider was injured in the mishap. Twelve people were injured in the mishap including two minor girls.
After the accident, Bapu Giri of Kasturi Pratishsthan, Santosh Zombade, Suresh Varpe, Milind Memane, ambulance driver Ajit Kamble immediately rushed to the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital. After the accident, another vehicle crashed into the tempo, local villagers said.
