Pune Yerawada Building Collapse | Pune Police book Bluegrass Business Park, MPCL Industries Ltd and Ahluwalia Contracts Pvt Ltd, detain three persons for 6 workers’ death
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Yerawada Building Collapse | A contractor has been booked for the under-construction building collapse. Six workers were killed while four others were injured when a slab of the under-construction building caved in at Shastri Nagar, Yerawada on Thursday night. Three persons have been detained in this connection, said Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta on Friday.
Construction of a slab of the building was in progress near Wadia Bungalow, Gate No. 8, Shastri Nagar, Yerawada. The iron structure set up for the foundation slab caved in, under which workers got trapped. Six of them died while four were injured. CP Amitabh Gupta visited the accident spot on Friday morning.
CP Gupta said reasons behind the tragedy are being investigated. The contractor has been booked for negligence. Three persons have been detained. An offence of culpable homicide and under other sections has been registered against Bluegrass Business Park, MPCL Industries Ltd and Ahluwalia Contracts Pvt Ltd

A Delhi-based firm is constructing an IT Park here. An iron frame was being constructed for a slab for the foundation. Some workers were working under it. However, the iron frame was very heavy and collapsed. Around 10 workers got trapped under it, of which six died.
