Pune University – SPPU News | NSUI Holds Protest at Savitribai Phule Pune University Over Software Engineering Exam

Pune : Pune University – SPPU News | The Pune City Students’ wing of the Congress-affiliated National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest at Savitribai Phule Pune University on Saturday, accusing the university administration of intentionally harassing students. The protestors specifically demanded that the second-year software engineering paper not be retaken.

According to the students, the software engineering exam included questions that were outside the prescribed syllabus, leading to a tense and fearful atmosphere among the students. The questions were deemed extracurricular and not in line with the syllabus set by the IT department. The NSUI, along with the affected students, organized the protest to voice their concerns and demand a resolution.

The students’ congress has urged the university to consider alternatives to retaking the exam. They propose either passing the students based on their performance in the existing exam or conducting a retest online with multiple-choice questions.
