Pune Crime News | ANC 2 seizes opium and ganja from Mandai

PUNE : Pune Crime News | The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Crime Branch of Pune city police seized opium and ganja from Mahatma Phule Mandai and the police have arrested one person.

 

The accused has been identified as Jagdish Kaluji Jat (27), a resident of Pune and hailing from Rajasthan. Officials and policemen of ANC 2 were patrolling in the limits of Vishrambaug police station. Policeman Yogesh Mandhre came to know that one person was going to arrive in Mandai to sell drugs.

 

 

The information was verified and the police laid a trap and arrested the accused. Six kg 167 gm opium worth ₹92,000, 1.3 kg ganja worth ₹26,000 and a mobile worth ₹10,000 totally worth ₹1.28 lakh were seized from him. An FIR has been registered at the Vishrambaug police station.

 

The action was taken under the guidance of CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende, ACP Satish Govekar by PI Sunil Thopte, PSI Shubhangi Narke, policemen Yogesh Mandhre, Chetan Gaikwad, Yuvraj Kamble, Santosh Deshpande, Sandip Jadhav and Dinesh Bastewad in taking the action.
