Pune Politics News | Ajit Pawar Rumored to Become the New Guardian Minister of Pune

Pune : Pune Politics News | In a significant development related to the guardian ministership of Pune, reliable sources have revealed that Ajit Pawar may assume the role of the new Guardian Minister of Pune. Presently, Chandrakant Patil holds the position of Guardian Minister in Pune, but recent discussions within political circles indicate a potential change in the role.

Sources have further indicated that Chandrakant Patil has been relatively inactive as the Guardian Minister of Pune in recent days. Following the induction of Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis into the government, Ajit Pawar took the oath as the Deputy Chief Minister. It has now come to light that Ajit Pawar may also be entrusted with the responsibility of the guardian minister in Pune. Furthermore, it is speculated that Ajit Pawar’s group may receive 10 to 12 guardian ministerships in total.

The position of the Guardian Minister holds immense significance in Pune district politics. Pawar previously held this position during the coalition government from 2004 to 2014. After the Mahavikas Aghadi came into power in 2019, Ajit Pawar assumed the role of Guardian Minister. However, following the resignation of the Mahavikas Aghadi government a year ago, Chandrakant Patil took over as the Guardian Minister.

Pune city and district encompass a total of 21 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). In the city, out of the 8 MLAs, 5 belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 2 belong to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and 1 belongs to the Congress party.

The potential appointment of Ajit Pawar as the new Guardian Minister of Pune marks a significant development in the political landscape of the district. As the situation unfolds, the implications of this appointment on the region’s governance and the dynamics of the political parties involved will become clearer.
