Pune Police free abducted person; arrest four kidnappers
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The Pune Police arrested the accused, who kidnapped a person out of financial issue and demanded Rs 8 lakhs, and released the kidnapped person. The Wanwadi Police and Crime Branch Unit 4 conducted a joint investigation and rescued the abducted person within 12 to 14 hours. They also arrested four persons. The incident took place on Friday night within the limits of Wanwadi Police Station. (Pune Crime News)
The abducted person has been identified as Pravin Shashikant Patil alias Mohmand Parvez Sheikh (39) from Pune. The brother-in-law of the abducted person lodged a complaint with the Wanwadi police. The police have arrested Dattatraya Shriram Waringe (39) from Talegaon Dabhade, Mahesh Brahmadev Jadhav (32) from Talegaon Dabhade, Subhash Gopal Sonjari (40) from Talegaon Dabhade, Ravi Hanumant Ankushi (34) from Talegaon Station.
According to the police, Pravin Patil alias Mohmand Shaikh and the accused had financial dealings. The accused called Patil to Shree Sagar Hotel at Fatimanagar Chowk, Wanwadi for financial transactions. There they beat and kidnapped him. The accused called his wife’s mobile phone and demanded Rs 8 lakh. As soon as the complaint was received, the search for the accused was started. It was learned that the accused had taken Patil to Talegaon Dabhade. A team of Wanwadi Police and Crime Branch Unit 4 rescued the abducted person and arrested four persons.
