MCOCA action against 13, including Sameer Pathan in Hadapsar

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | Sameer Liaquat Pathan and his accomplices abused citizens and pelted stones at them. The accused had created terror in the area by waving sickles in the air. An FIR was filed against 13 people at the Hadapsar Police Station and 10 people were arrested. CP Retesh Kumaarr has instructed them to take action under MCOCA Act against Samir Pathan and his gang.

 

Gang leader Sameer Liaquat Pathan (26) from Manjari, Shoaib Liaquat Pathan (20) from Manjari, Ganesh alias Dada Vitthal Havaldar (22) from Manjari, Prateek alias SK Hanumant Kamble (20) from Manjari, Gitesh Dashrath Solankar (21) from Hadapsar, Hrithik Santosh Jadhav (19) from Manjari, Sai Rajendra Kamble (20) from Manjari, Hrushikesh aka Sonya Sanjay Pakhale (24) from Manjari, Hrithik Sunil Mandhre (22) from Hadapsar, Pratik Shivkumar Salgar (19) from Manjari have been arrested.

 

A minor has been detained. The other three accomplices are absconding. An FIR under sections 307,324,504,506,143,145,147,149 of the IPC, the Maharashtra Police Act, the Arms Act has been registered against the accused at the Hadapsar Police Station.

 

Gang leader Samir Pathan and his accomplice Shoaib Pathan, Ganesh alias Dada Havaldar have been booked by different police stations in Pune city for serious crimes like robbery, fighting and forced theft.

 

Sr PI Arvind Gokule through DCP Vikrant Deshmukh proposed to Addl CP Ranjan Sharma to invoke the Maharashtra Organised Crime Control Act (MOCCA) in the case registered at the Hadapsar Police Station. After investigating the matter, action was ordered against the accused.

 

The action was taken by a team comprising Sr PI Arvind Gokule, PI Crime Digambar Shinde, PI Vishwas Dagle, PI Investigation Team Assistant Vijayakumar Shinde, PSI Avinash Shinde, police constables Pandule, Shahid Sheikh, Hambarde, Dudhal, Sonwane, Surveillance Division police constables Pravin Shinde, Girish Erkoge under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Eastern Regional Division Ranjan Sharma, DCP Vikrant Deshmukh and ACP Bajrang Desai.

 

Second MCOCA action by the Commissioner of Police
CP Retesh Kumaarr has, by focusing on crime controlling, started taking stern action against criminals and those who create terror, after assuming the office. He has taken action under MCOCA against two gangs since assuming office.
