Crime branch arrests private moneylender in Rs 28 lakh recovery case

Many complaints are reaching the police regarding the Pathani interest recovery method used by moneylenders. The Pune Police Crime Branch Unit 2 received a complaint about illegal money lending. After investigating the complaint, the police have arrested a moneylender. (Pune Crime News)

 

The arrested accused has been identified as private moneylender Durgesh Kumar Pandey (33) from Satav Nagar. Legal action has been taken against JG alias Sagar Dhotre. Pradip Digambar Daddikar (36) from Kharadi had complained to the Crime Branch Unit Two.

 

According to the police, the complainant Pradip Daddikar had taken Rs 10 lakh from the accused on interest. Rs 28 lakhs were recovered by the accused. An inquiry was conducted after the complaint was made. During the investigation, it was found that the accused had recovered the money. Accordingly, an FIR has been filed against the accused at the Airport Police Station and the accused Durgesh Kumar Pandey has been handed over to the airport police.

 

This action was taken by a team comprising PI Kranti Kumar Patil, PSI Nitin Kamble, police constables Shankar Nevse, Kadir Sheikh, Sameer Patel, Navnath Rakh under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Crime Amol Zende, ACP Crime-1 Gajanan Tompe.
