Pune: Machete-Wielding Trio Targets Youth in Municipal School Ambush in Hadapsar

Pune: On Thursday, January 25, a 19-year-old boy was brutally attacked by three accused with a machete. This incident took place on Thursday night between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in front of the Municipal School in Gosavi Vasti of Hadapsar.

In this assault, the victim boy, Aadesh Katkar, received heavy injuries and has been admitted to a hospital for immediate medical treatment.

As per the police report, the accused, identified as Sunny Bhosle (21), Kalu Sawant (23), both the residents of Gosavi Vasti, Sadesatra Nali, Hadapsar, and one of their friends, assaulted the victim’s brother, Yash Katkar, and his friend Raju Nangre, a few days ago. Due to this, the victim, Aadesh Katkar, and his mother, Pratima Anand Katkar (40), confronted the accused on Thursday.

Infuriated over this confrontation, the accused abused both of them. In the ongoing verbal confrontation, the other accused, Sunny Bhosle, hit Adesh on the back with a machete, injuring him badly. In this attack, Aadesh received many injuries and has been admitted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Following the incident, the plaintiff’s mother, Pratima Anand Katkar, filed a complaint against the three accused at Hadapsar police station. On the basis of this complaint, a case has been registered against them under IPC 324, 323, 504, the 34 Arms Act, and the Maharashtra Police Act. The police are conducting further investigations.
