Pune: Driver loses control over truck after tyre burst, four feared dead in accident near Navale bridge

Pune: One died on the spot when the front tire of a speeding truck burst while going toward Navale Bridge from Katraj bypass. This truck collided with 4 cars and 8 two wheelers. A total of Nine people were injured, among them, five are in critical condition. Meanwhile, there was a major traffic jam on the road due to this horrific accident.

The truck number (MH. 12. HC. 7299) was carrying heavy material. At this time, the tire on the front left side of this speeding truck opposite the Babaji petrol pump burst. Due to this, the driver lost the control and the truck collided with 4 cars and 8 bikes. One person died on the spot.

The Katraj Dehu Road bypass constantly remains crowded. Today, a speeding truck’s front left tire busted and additionally, the brakes of this truck also failed. Other vehicles’ speed was slow as there was heavy traffic on the highway and this truck collided with these vehicles.

This truck collided with 4 cars and 8 two-wheelers in front, as told by the eyewitnesses. One person on a two-wheeler died on the spot as he got crushed by the truck. Nearest Bharati University Traffic Police officials arrived at the spot. The injured have been rushed to Navale Hospital. Also the vehicles affected in this accident have been removed using cranes.
