PMPML E-Bus | PMPML officials conduct trial of e-bus on Sinhagad fort: Service may be delayed due to lack of facilities

PUNE : PMPML E-Bus | The e-bus service is going to be started to go to the Sinhagad fort. PMPML officials visited the fort and later took a test ride in a bus. However, since the Forest Department has not fulfilled the conditions, it may take time before PMPML buses start plying to the fort.

The Forest Department had taken a decision to ban the entry of private vehicles to the Sinhagad fort. Later, the e-bus service had been started from the foothills of the fort. An e-bus charging facility had also been set up. A parking area had been created at Donje. The e-bus was being patronised by commuters. However, the PMPML stopped the bus service due to the narrow road, landslides, inadequate number of charging stations and accidents. The main demand of making suitable changes in the ghat section to allow the bus to take a turn has not been fulfilled. PMPML officials said that the bus service would be started once changes are carried out.
