Only Rs 6 profit after selling 2657 kg of onion, farmer sends money to CM Fadnavis

Ahmednagar: NP NEWS 24 – A farmer from Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra has sent a money order of Rs six to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for lodging a protest against the huge amount of money spent on the production of onion but he got a profit of Rs six only.

Shreyas Abhale said that after selling 2657 kg of onion at one rupee per kg in the Sangamner wholesale market of the district, and after the expenditure of the market, he has got only Rs 6 as profit.

Shreyas said, “When I brought 2,657 kg of onion in Sangamner wholesale market, I got Rs 2,916. After expenditure on wages and transport, I had only six rupees. I was very disappointed and decided to send a money order of Rs 6 to the Chief Minister so that his attention could be given to this situation. This incident is an example of how bad the condition of farmers in the country is.”
