Meet the Inspector who will be honored by President’s Medal

For the dedicated and excellent service provided to the citizens by the police officials will be awarded by the President’s medal on August 15.

In the list of the awardees, there is a Senior Police Inspector who will be awarded the medal. Vitthal Khandoji Kubde Senior Police Inspector is the name that has been chosen for his hardcore service and diligence towards his service for more than 25 year in police department.

His Journey started on September 15, 1993 with Maharashtra Police Academy, Nashik after training he got posted at Sakoli, Bhandara.

Grabbing the Naxalites

He has been working at many of the utmost affected areas like Goregaon, Salekasa, Darekasa, Arjuni Morgaon; all these places are believed to be Naxal areas. His work term at Bhandara was from 1994 to 2000. During that period he was a part of many encounters at the Naxal area. In the first encounter, he managed to grab two Naxalites, whereas in another he traced four members of their clan.

Kudos to his journey from 2000-2015

After this, he was transferred to Prabani and later in the year 2000 he was shifted to Nanded. He worked there from 2000 to 2004. He acted as an in charge at the Osmanagar, Kundalwadi. His work was highly appreciated and he was also honored for his efforts. His hard work paid off and he was finally promoted and Assistant Police Inspector and got posted at Buldhana in 2004.

In his tenure at Buldhana from 2004 to 2007, he was associated in the investigation of many cases related to fake notes and murder cases. Yet again his work was valued and admired.

In 2007 – 2015 he was posted at the Latur. Where his deeds yet again shined and admired by many.

Stepping into Pune

Considering his determination and dedication towards his work, Kubde finally got an opportunity to offer his services at the Pune’s Pimpri area. On July 15, 2015, he was promoted as the Police Inspector. With a new enthusiasm and idea, he took many preventive measures to control crime in and around the city. His glorify his achievements, he got honored 13 times by the police commissioner himself.

Other decorations

Till date, he has won total 869 rewards, which include Special Service Medal, Momento from the Director General of Police (DGP), Internal Security medal.
