Hadapsar police recovers 18 stolen bikes, 1 SUV

Officials from Hadapsar police station have seized 1 SUV and 18 bikes, totally worth Rs 10.15 lakhs, which were stolen from Hadapsar, Pune city and Pune rural police jurisdiction.

The arrested accused have been identified as Harshvardhan Gautam Ghodke (25) and Yuvraj Arjun Dhone (20), both residents of Mirajgaon in Karjat taluka of Ahmednagar district.

According to police, the duo were found checking various vehicles in the parking lot of Mhaske hospital, Hadapsar on August 12. Accordingly, a special team formed to investigate vehicle thefts nabbed them. During investigation the accused led to the vehicles stolen by them.

Add CP (North region) Sunil Phulari, DCP (zone 4) Prasad Akkanoure, ACP (Wanowrie division) Milind Patil, Senior Police Inspector Sunil Tambe and inspector (crime) Kumbhar supervised the investigation team which included API Prasad Lonare, PSI Mahesh Bhange, head constable Yusuf Pathan, police naik Pratap Gaikwad, Vinod Shivle, Nitin Mundhe, Akbar Shaikh and Shashikant Nale.
