Massive fire eruption; 8 hours of efforts and PMRDA firefighters made it!

The firefighters are always known for its utmost bravery, controlling the fire and rescuing stranded people. In a bizzare incident, fire erupted at the tissue culture production company ‘Rise and Shine Biotech Private limited’.

The industry is located in Theur, Haveli Taluka of Pune district. The fire eruption was massive and it took place on September 14,  Friday at 8.30 am.  After continuous efforts for eight hours, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and the Pune Municipal Corporation fire fighters were able to doze off the fire.

The fire was massive as second number lab of the same company includes – air conditioning, glass bottles, and cables fire. The fire was spread in all the surrounding areas too.

The vehicles of Pune Municipal Corporation and Amanora Township Force were called to control the fire. A total of 18 people worked to controlled the fire. There was a huge loss in wealth and property worth18 to 20 crore. However, the fire fighters prevented any damage to life loss as such. No lives were harmed.

Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) force after 8 hours of continuous efforts, succeeded in putting the fire off. They took complete care that the fire does not spreads to other laboratories.

Pune fire brigade executive officer Shivaji Chavan, PMRDA’s fire officer Sujit Patil, Vijay Mahajan, as well as Pune Municipal Corporation and  fire officers of PMRDA,  and  employees of the company contributed their efforts to bring the fire in control under the guidance of fire brigade chief of PMRDA, Devendra Potphode.

Hence due to the fire extinguishers, and the excellent work of firefighters, life and financial losses was avoided. The efforts of the fire brigade personnel were commendable.
