Maratha Protest: was a destination Wedding

For the demand of Maratha Reservation, Chakka Jam Aandolan was held in Akola’s Akot by Sakal Marathi Community. This protest in Akot witnessed a strange incident in which a couple actually got married while protestors were on the road.

The couple belongs to Maratha Community. This couple got married where a protest was going on. These couples also shouted slogans in support of Maratha Reservation.

The whole Maharashtra has become furious for Maratha Reservation. There are many violent protests taking place all over the state. The Maratha Morcha called for Maharashtra Bandh on the occasion of “Kranti Din”.

Tejaswini Gavande and Abhimanyu Aadhav were getting married at Shivaji Chowk of Akot. Tejaswini is from Deugav and Abhimanyu is from Gandhigram. All the rituals of marriage were supposed to happen at the Kastkar Bhavan, but the two families performed the marriage rituals on streets where the Aandolan was going on. All the guests who were presented also participated in the Aandolan. The guest and the families of couple shouted slogans in order to support the Maratha Reservation.

Maratha Kranti Silent March was appreciated throughout the state as the way Maratha community was putting their demands forward last year. More than 58 Silent Marches throughout the state were carried by the community.

But when their demands were left unheard, in the end, the agitators went violent and today is the situation that almost every city of the state is facing a stressful environment.
